Specially designed for systems up to 16 doors, P2 systems are quick and easy to install by competent installers and the highly functional software can be up and running within a few minutes. The intuitive software is extremely easy to use and special training is not usually required. It provides many features offered by bigger systems such as flexible control, diagnostics and customized reporting.
System activity is monitored and can be viewed using the simple to create reports from within the software. Adding custom fields in to the card database allows for even more tailored reports to be created.P2 readers are stylish, durable and look attractive in both modern architectural and old building designs.

SIMPLE TO USE

The software has been carefully designed to be easy to use. A setup wizard will take you through registering the credentials. The credentials can be entered manually or simply presented to a reader. The wizard will then do all the rest of the work to get the credentials working. Standard windows interface techniques have been used so that users will be able to start using the software with very little guidance.

LOW COST

P2.net includes the Ethernet electronics at board level. This brings major cost savings allowing the deployment of IP connected access controllers at a fraction of the normal cost. It doesn’t end there, by using a ‘cross over’ Cat 5 Cable the P2.net controller offers a cost effective way of connecting a PC to an access controller.

Software-

P2 access controllers require a PC to program the system. The software used for programming the system is called Doors Express. The software uses Microsoft SQL database technology which provides security and reliability. The software is split into two components, Server and Client.

PROGENY P2 SERVER

Progeny P2 Server provides the link between the controllers, database and client. This component is installed as a Windows service and runs in the background when the PC is turned on.

DOORS EXPRESS CLIENT

Doors Express Client provides a simple interface for unlimited end users. This reduces the need for lengthy end user or engineer training. Secure logins can be created to reveal only the parts of the software that the user needs to access. These two components can be on the same PC or on separate server / workstations if required. Doors Express is supplied with a free version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Although, the end user can easily make use of a full Microsoft SQL Server if preferred.
